Tips for week 5 of the #FNB weight loss challenge.

Hi Sweets,
I usually don't post on Saturdays, but someone just pinched me! Ojigbijigbijigbi!!!!!!!!
Thanks to that awesome person that made me do this. See eh, "not knowing" is a killer, its not the same thing as ignorance o, lol. What i'm saying is that, I didn't really know that NOT putting up these weekly tips will affect some readers' weight loss journey, if I knew 'eziokwu' I for no stop am. I am truly sorry for excluding you guys from the fun. Thank God its not too late, so from now on, I will drop hints and weekly tips here till the end of the challenge.

P.S: In addition to giving thanks to God for my birthday(coming upper week), I will be giving away N2000 (air time recharge) to 1 or 2 persons(1k each, i've not reached Linda Ikeji's level yet) everyday next week starting from Monday. Please stay tuned.


So here goes......

Weekly Meal tips: We just finished a detox, so I advise those that haven't done that to please do so. If you have no idea of what to eat, please mail me so i can help. Other than that, we proceed with normal eating this week.

  1. Yogurt I would love for us to try having yogurt for dinner this week. I told the ladies on the group to do this last week, only one person did. I want to hear the results from you. Eat low fat unsweetened yogurt at least 3 times this week, 3 hours before bed time. Add fruits and nuts, honey for more nutrition and taste. A serving should be about 5 to 8 tbsp full. 
  2. No dairy: Aside from eating yogurt, eat no dairy this week. No milk no cheese should be consumed. 
  3. More proteins like beans, chicken, fish. Try more of oily fish.
  4. More water of course. At least 3 liters a day.
  5. DO NOT forget your multivitamins. Please if you workout a lot, kindly supplement with extra vitamins that your body needs, so that you don't break down during this course. 

In all these, remember portion control is key and let breakfast be your heaviest meal of the day.

This has actually made my week. 



Exercises: Targeting the waist line. (Feel free to divide the workout if you have a tight schedule)

  1. 5 mins warm up and stretching. Very important.
  2. 1000 skips daily. Beginners can start with 500 no less. Try, please you can do this. Push yourself.
  3. 30 leg raises. Do them in 3 sets if you can't do all at once. See examples here
  4. 100 squats. Beginners 50 squats.
  5. 10 push-ups
  6. 3 mins plank. (Do 6 reps of 30 seconds each)
  7. Stretch for 5 mins.
Push yourself, that's the only way to know how strong you truly are.

If you actually follow the tips above daily, through the week, you are bound to lose at least 1kg. That is if you get your meals right. Stay on the right track and try not to derail. Don't hesitate to holla and lets know how you are doing. Don't do this alone, keep reaching out for help, but push yourself!  Please, holla back.......

    These weekly tips ehn, no be here o. Its an elixir for someone like me cos it serves as a road map. U know, something that helps u know where u are going.
    The workouts are doable. Its just that I ve been having issues with my knees. Dont know if donkey kicks can substitute for squats. Or maybe I ll just do half squats asin, not going down fully.thanks and God bless.

    1. Amen oo! About your knees, maybe you didn't take the right position, this can cause serious damage to your knees if care isnt taken. Try the half squats, Donkey kicks wont give you the same results. Thanks a billion dear and God bless you too.

I came back to see if you had replied my comment not only did you reply you also wrote a post on a saturday wow! You are such a listening person. Am a regular reader of yours I only forgot to use my name hence the anonymous appearance :) you have no idea how many times I click your blog daily. It gives Me So much strength and dependency. These past few weeks without the regular post has somehow deterred my routine and determination *covers face*. Thanks for listening once again God bless you..... Your shea butter remedy really worked for Me. Since I started exercising I started having notable stretch marks on my stomach and arms but wala! the ones on my stomach is completely invisible now. The ones on my arms are proving difficult but am encouraged to continue as I have seen great results as a matter of fact shea butter is my cream oh. I mixed shea butter with pears baby oil heated it So as to mix well then I put it in the freezer So as to solidify and I brought it out and started using it. Guess what people have been commenting on my skin ever since oh! That its glowing when they ask Me what I use and I tell them they don't believe oh they will say am lying :) plus its totally cheaper to those our lady creams out there with less than 500 I have shea butter mixture that will last over a month. This weightloss thing has really changed my way of living I must confess. And you said it usually happens I totally agree with you cheliz.

    1. @Nelo I'm dark skinned and since using shea butter my skin glows and not as dark as before. Its really good and works for me

  8. dancing here ooo, am happy cheliz is back with the posts, i have been dying in silence since, but since its how cheliz want to run the FNB challenge i kept quiet i was just wishing for the challenge to end as fast as possible.Thanks to the anonymous reader that spoke on the behalf of people like me. thanks cheliz.

    2. i have added oo cheliz, my clothes are still free on me but my cheeks are puffy. the worst is that my digital weight scale broke, it made my moral came down small, i dont even know what i weigh now lol.
