Friday Goodness: Honey Roasted nuts!

How y'all doing today? TGIF!!
Are you like me that find plain nuts kinna bland and boring most times? You know sometimes you go looking to buy some healthy nuts (cashew, peanuts, almonds etc) and they taste too salty or too plain and you get angry? Healthy nuts aint cheap, I don't blame you.

You can flavour your nuts in so many ways with different kinds of spices and stuff you easily find in your kitchen. Ok, enof talk talk, see what i did to mine....

Cashew Nuts



  1. 2 cups of lightly roasted cashew nuts.
  2. 3/4 cup of raw Almonds.
  3. A pinch of salt.
  4. 1 tbsp of honey.
  5. 1/2 tsp of ground dry chili pepper.
  6. 1 sheet tray.

  1. Mix the nuts in a bowl and add the salt and honey and pepper, mix well.
  2. Pour the mixture unto your sheet tray. Place in a hot oven (not too hot)
  3. Keep an eye on it, because of the honey, they could burn quickly.
  4. Stir after 5 mins. 
  5. After another 5 mins(making 10 mins) remove from the oven, pour unto a cool plate or tray and allow to cool.
  6. Store in a jar and keep in the fridge.

Drizzled with honey.

On a sheet tray.

Isnt that so easy? Anyone can prepare that. Mix and match spices as you like, be careful with salt and sugar.  You can use spices like, turmeric. cinnamon, paprika, suya spice, thyme etc. They all taste good. Just find the combo that works for you. 

Mix with your yogurt or cereal. Yumm!!

Mine almost got burnt. Be careful.

Store in an air tight jar like this or a bottle.
There it is!

You can also mix the nuts, depending on which you can lay your hands on. They are all healthy and highly nutritious. If you are allergic to nuts, CAUTION!!

  3. This blog is now dry no more life in it like before. :( because all the fun was taken to bbm. So we that aren't participating are left out. Hence no activity for us on the blog. No wonder comments are fewer than before
