# #WORKIT CHALLENGE # Lose weight now

#Workit Weightloss challenge Day 43 (week 7 begins)

Yes! 2 weeks to go! Who is proud of his/her self for their achievements this past weeks? Well, i am proud of you all. For making the decision, taking the time and making the needed changes to get to your goals. It is not easy.


TIPS FOR WEEK 7;

  1. If you haven't stepped it up a notch, please do. If there is anyone out there doing the same thing she has been doing since day one, biko raise ya hand for 24 lashes! Lol! Ok, just try to increase the workouts a bit, or change things up. 
  2. If you haven't made much improvements with your meals, now is the time to drop those excess carbs. No more cheating at least till the challenge is over.
  3. Time to start making plans for maintaining your new found body after the challenge. Since no one will be monitoring you as much, try and draw out a schedule for your workouts and meals. Don't just stop doing what youve been doing all these weeks, then relax and add weight again. Don't let all your hard work be in vain please. 
  4. Lets try a no-carb week this week. Who is in? Next week, we close the challenge with a detox.  No fear o. Some peoples heart beat just skipped 2 paces now now, because i mentioned detox Hian!!
  5. Lets not forget our water, very important.
  6. Contestants, don't forget to send in your pics in time. 6 pm GMT is cut off.

Exercises: (time to work the arms aka 'xtian mother')
  1. Dumbbells workout: To reduce the 'xtian mother' arm, dedicate at least 10 mins for your arm exercise daily. Daily attack of the triceps, is the only way to burn and tighten that place fast. If you stop working on it, it softens back. Take it from me, i have learnt my lesson. Check out this workout by Fitsugar
  2. Push ups: Try this at least 3 times a week. See this workout by Fitness blender repeat for a total of 5 mins, rest when you are tired. This workout works both arms and abs.
  3. Tricep press: This can be done in your room or sitting room, just get a chair, or use the edge of your bed. By Fitness blender

If you have this dvd above or any of Jackie's workout, use them. She's really good at working the upper body and arms. Shes my favorite when it comes to toning the arms and upper body. You will see results in just days.

  1. Gm All. Ruby...I rili do luv all dis pictures u put up, they are funny but it's actually true. I am very happy I am part of this challenge n I can challenge myself and body dis much. Dis week(on sunday) I filled two bottles wit sand (cos I don't av dumb bells yet....faceclosed) and I use it to jog/do some arm Exercise, also increased my push ups. Also my food has been on portion control level and they rili get to laff @ me at my office cateen(especially @ d kind of things I eat.....lol). it's funny tho, but d fact dat I am seeing results I rili like it when they laff. Not happy we are rounding off the challenge soon. But I will keep it up cos I love d way I feel about myself n body nw. Still av a long way to go tho cos I am targeting 70kg. But wit u all here(Cheliz,Miss B,Amanda, Sweetpie,Pat.....etc) I am sure I will get der soon. love ya all and God bless. TESS

  2. Cheliz....plz I av folds on my back, tho its reducing nw. But I will luv to give it abit of concentration. Plz wat Exercise is appropriate...? thank u in advance

    1. While you lose weight, your whole body will generally slim down but you can do strength training with dumbbells to firm the back. Try exercises like: Arnold press, butterfly raise, chest press laying down, even push ups will help. Google them to see how they r done. You def need dumbbells or kettlebells to burn back fat.   3. Hmmmm.... Before now, I've bn cheating twice a week...Saturday and Sunday... But this past week, I wasn't fully able to recover from the effect of the cheat... Kai... Weekend is coming again... It's either I do one day, or I don't even do at all... Naaaah ds week wasn't for me... But I hv sure learnt my lesson... I took a pic yesterday tho.. I liked what I saw... Small sha... There are stl kgs to go... I'm also not happy d challenge is coming to an end...
    Ps: Cheliz I've bn meaning to ask oh... Is it possible we extend this challenge to October... I think we haven't all reached our goal yet to a comfortable level... Seeing that we are going to continue in this. I dunno sha.. It depends on u.and what d other contestants hv to say. Just thought to share my thoughts. Amanda

    1. Lol! Chai Amanda eehhh! We are not shifting anything o. The problem with cheating during intense weight loss is that most people dont cheat the right way. You can still cheat and keep losing weight. Let me give u diff types of cheating: 1. The Daily cheat: to do this, you have to count calories exellently. So that your daily calories burnt(output) beats ur daily calorie intake. Cheat with little things like a piece of cookie. 2. The Weekly cheat: they cheat on weekends when they know they have worked their butts off and they truely crave. If you dont crave, dont go cheating pls. These pple cheat with stuff like a cup of milo on sat ONLY. 3. Monthly cheats: this is more like a celebration. They cheat to celebrate a weight loss milestone. E.g they hoped to lose 5kg by month end and they did. They cheat with 2 pieces of FRIED chicken or a cup of ice cream. Do you get the scenarios now Amanda? When i was well into my weightloss, i used to cheat with a small section of a chocolate bar on saturdays, some weekends, i skipped it. Lol. Keep up the spirit babe. Thanks

It was a good week,was able to exercise for most of the days.I'm also sad that the challenge is coming to an end.I'm with Amanda on this one,can we extend the challenge?Yes,i'm proud of what I've achieved so far.Almost everyone I know has noticed that I've lost weight.Have a great day everyone.I'm off to the tailor,all my skirts need to be slim fitted.
