Hi Sweets,
Sorry for the late post, had to dash out this morning. Thank God its Friday!!
Hmmmm....Like play play, we are getting closer to the finish line.  Please lets share, we would love to know.

Sweetpie.

Before i start, i just discovered its Sweetpie's birthday today, please lets wish her a good one and many more years ahead in Jesus name. HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEETPIE!!!

So guys, (contestants and non-contestants);
  1.  How was your week?
  2. Were you able to workout, if so for how long?
  3. How was your diet this past week? Did you cheat? Lol
  4. Where you tempted at the office or at home?
  5. Did you squat? I did 1100 as at yesterday. Will workout later in the evening.
  6. Are people beginning to see a difference in your looks.
  7. How do you feel emotionally compared to 6 weeks back??
Pray tell, i cant wait to hear the gist. Lets talk guys.....

Tips for week 6: (I know that by now, you guys are pros at this shey? You now have much control over your body) Yipeeee!!!
  1. Drink more water. Even I sometimes forget to drink water.
  2. This week, more fruits ehhh! Can we do at least bowl of fruits a day? It can be any fruit, single or mixed, or smoothie style.
  3. Lets increase workouts by 10 mins this week. If you are used to doing 30 mins, make it 40 mins. Please try.
  4.  Ghen gheeenn!!! can we try planking this week?  It helps to tighten the abs. Here's a link to a planking video by Ada Ari-Agbim. Do 3 sets of 30 secs each or more. Lets try up to 3 mins plank a day, what do you think?
  5. Remember to eat small portions of food several times a day or rather, don't  over stuff yourself at meal times.

Contestants, remember to send in your pics as usual before 6pm on Saturday. Pat, Wunmi, Nena, Louisa, hope you guys are good? Please share your week with us. Take care all and God bless.
Cheliz.

  3. Hello everyone!!!!I can't believe five weeks have gone by.Time really does fly.Happy birthday Sweetpie,God bless you and grant your heart's desires. It was a really busy week for me,I had to prepare for an exam,I just wrote it a few hours ago and i give God the glory.I was able to work out for about 40 minutes everyday except yesterday.I didn't cheat, thank God for the grace to resist temptation. A friend of mine took me to a fast food yesterday and offered to buy me a BIG loaf of Bread and fried Eggs for breakfast but i politely declined. The difference in my looks is obvious now,I can now put on clothes I couldn't wear for a while. There's a particular gown that I've been keeping for almost two years,I was able to fit into it this week.My self esteem is way up there now.I wanted to try something different this week and so I collected Shaun T's videos from a friend. After about 10 minutes of working out with Shaun T i decided to stop.Life shouldn't be that hard abeg.I will stick with Fitness blender and Jillian Micheals. If you work out with Shaun T's videos,i doff my hat. Have a great weekend everyone.

    1. Congrats Wunmi, more testimonies to come. As per that shaun T eh, i only do it when i really really have that extra energy, it is tough but it works. You get to see the results in just 1 week. Keep attempting it, but go at your own pace. Good work!

  4. Happy Birthday Sweetpie. Wishing you all that your heart desires. Hi Ms. B., thanks for the shoutout on the results post. My week has been hectic, plus TOM. Worked out, but missed yesterday and today, but I'll try and make up. I'm faring better this time around with my TOM and the detox last week really helped to curb a lot of my cravings. I'm trying hard not to succumb and have a cheat meal, and God will be my strength. A few people have begun to notice the weight loss, and are asking me what I'm doing, and of course I refer them to the blog. Six weeks ago, I could not have imagined, that I would be down to a 12, after starting this journey as a size 16 to 18, with the June challenge. Last weekend I went to shop and all size 14 were loose on me. It felt great and overwhelming. I feel great about the loss, but I’m overwhelmed about maintaining the loss, which is why I'm trying to do the challenge, not just as a competition, but a new way of living. When I have my weak moments, and cheat meals, I try not to beat myself up and just get back on track. Unlike before once I fall, I just decide to give up and eat what I like. But Saturday weigh in is what keeps me on track. Which why I’m glad this was a longer challenge. There’s time for redemption. Last week was great and I was focused, this week not so much, but next week I shall be better. And I’m now the advocate for slow and steady, because I see it in my progress, and for that Mz. Cheliz, I’m grateful. Continued luck to everyone.

    1. That't the spirit Pat, stay strong. No one is perfect in this weight loss thing, i have my weak moments too. When i remember size 18, i quickly jump up and start jogging. Lol. Its funny but it keeps me from wasting all my hard work. That's the whole essence of taking it slow and steady, on that journey, you make different changes, you experience different things, you learn loads. Keep it up dear, the Lord is your muscle according to Tess. Lol!

My weight is slowing down now ooo, but I thank God that am still maintaining it sha, I found it difficult to eat unhealthy foods. But my BD cake was soo tempting that I have to taste. This week was not really good on my side I was soo soo tired to do anything. I promise to improve on my exercise next week.

    1. My dear its a very normal feeling. Happens once in a while. I still feel it atimes trust me. Sometimes, I just feel like quitting, eat anything I want and just sleep lol. The feeling grows even worse when pple around us keep telling us to stop, that we look good already, forgetting that it's not just about looks. I say listen to your body, if YOU feel you are cool with your achievements, and you think its time to just maintain your new shape , then slow down but dont stop totally. This is a lifestyle change. If you stop, all the work you've done so far fall will be a waste. I pray you dont want that. Stay strong dearie. Cheers.

    2. Cheliz I'm frustrated, sometimes my weight goes down to 69.6kg, then it rises to 70.4kg and then 71kg then goes down again to 70.4kg. It just keeps swinging and I'm being faithful to my diet. No rice, no bread, just fruits and beans. Although I don't exercise everyday but I expect being strict with my diet should assist me in loosing weight even without much exercise. Any advice for me. Kayla B.

    3. Lol @ rise and fall hahahaha! Ok ok am sorry for laughing, just sounds funny. How do you mean fruit and beans? Hope u dont over eat the fruits and beans especially. Excess beans is bad for you o, you will pack on the calories like crazy! Come for a meal plan so you'll fully understand how to eat. It is well, dont be sad k. Big hug!
