Weight loss for beginners (Part 2)

Morning Sweets,
This is a continuation from yesterdays post. Now that you have gotten the basics. Time to organize your eating habit.......

1. Identify the things that are bad for you. e.g: White bread, sodas, white sugar, processed white rice, pastries, sugary drinks etc. These should be eliminated from your diet, take note of them.

2.  Clean out your fridge. Go shopping and replace all the bad stuff with clean foods. This doesn't have to be an expensive venture. Let your pocket guide you.

3. Shop for only the things you need. Resist going to the pastry, soda and sweet isle of the           supermarket. When you get to the local markets, stop by at the fruit stands and get some colorful fruits.

4. Now, after shopping, organize your meals, make a weekly food timetable and stick with it. Truth is, if your meals arent organised, you will fall off the wagon. Once you get confused on what to eat to stay healthy, that's a problem. Please contact me for a meal plan subscription  and tips.

5.  Start small: This wont be easy but it works. Start by reducing 10 slices of bread a day to 2 slices, 5 bottles of coke a week to 1 bottle. No one expects you to make a sharp or drastic change on your diet. Its a lifestyle change so take it easy and try not to look back after crossing that bridge.

My secret to losing weight and keeping it off for this long is that i have changed the way i see and use food. Food no longer controls me, i control what i eat. I try hard not to eat out, i make my own food 90% of the time, so i am sure of what i consume. Exercise for me is secondary. I have made the change to sizable food plates and healthy meals. If you really want to lose the weight, you have to get serious. Try and see. if you have any questions, please ask me here.........God bless.
Cheliz.

  2. No wonder I have been exercising without any results. I have been weighing the same. I guess its because I have been eating the same way. And the problem is that I consume a lot of carbohydrates and eat less of other foods. I guess I have to slash the carbohydrates in my system. But I guess I have to detox first right? Dunno what to do pls I need ur earnest advice. Thanks a lot

  5. Since I started paying attention to what I put in my mouth, I've seen tremendous changes. I was part of a challenge (eating clean) early this year and I lost 7lbs, my weight loss journey has been slow but steady. Sometimes, I loose track but when I see the results on my scale, I know what to do :-)
Exercising hasn't been very easy for me cos my knee keeps bothering me. Your blog has helped me stay on track, sorry I couldn't keep up with the workitchallenge :-( I'm still on track sha.
Thank you for all you do.
