# Loose skin

Tackling Loose Skin.

Hey Sweetie,
I want to talk a bit about 'loose skin' today, this is something most people that have lost a bit of weight are tackling. It can be a bit of a headache if you know what i mean. I have a bit of it on my upper arm, that why i don't joke with arm and shoulder exercises, but then the fat can be annoying sha. Find below, some reasons and remedies for loose skin, in my opinion....

Why do i have so much loose skin?

  1. Drastic weight loss: When one goes on a very fast or drastic weight loss, like juice diet, shake diets etc for a long period of time, it often leaves behind a sac of loose skin in some areas. 
  2. Stubborn fat: Even if you are on a normal diet, some parts of the body ( areas like the tummy, buttocks, thighs and upper arms) are just too stubborn to tighten because they harbor thin layers of fat under the skin, these fatty areas need extra attention and specific exercises to tighten them.
  3. Pregnancy: I know i used to be big, but i never had sagging tummy. After I had my second baby, and started my weight loss journey, after a while i noticed the fat had gone but the excess pregnancy skin was just hanging down, eeishhh!! (This is a major turn off for guys) Mehn! i quickly started doing exercises to tighten the area, and after a while it flattened and tightened up. Ladies, In case your man hasn't said anything, na lie, he no like am. Quickly, start working on that tummy. Big or sagging tummy is a major turn-off for men. Its not the same as big bum bum or big boobs, trust me. *runs away fast* .............thank me later. 

How do i tackle or avoid loose skin?
  1. Exercise: Even if you are on a juice or shake diet, please add a bit of exercise to it. That's how i've been able to avoid loose skin. I still have a bit but not as much as it could have been if i wasn't exercising. There are specific exercises that tackle these major areas. That's why i recommend workout dvds. Mix your gym sessions with these dvds.
  2. Dont dwell on those drastic weight loss diets for long. A maximum of 2 weeks is good enough to kickstart your weight loss. Eating right and exercising is always the right way to go.  (Not that i want to spoil market for dealers o, make una no vex, am just being real)
  3.  Multivitamins: You know the skin needs to nourished right? Look for good brands that offer great dosses of vitamin D, C and vegetable fibre. I recommend (Reload multivitamins) that's what i use.
  4. Patience: It will take time to get there, be patient. Imagine am still working on mine, on my upper arms. Yes i slack on it sometimes, but i understand it will take time. Dont be too hard on yourself.
I actually picked this topic today for a reason. Its because of those on this weight loss challenge. Yes, organising your meals is very important, but please dont ignore exercises. Try and put in a bit of effort from time to time, dont abandon your body so that it doesnt sag on you. All the best and God bless.

  2. i have a sagging tummy after baby number 2. will tying my tummy and doing sit ups help tighten it and get me back to shape?

    1. Hi Lady z. How do u mean tying ur tummy? If its with wrapper, I doubt if that works cus it didnt work for me. Sit ups work but first you need to regulate what you eat and try losing a bit of weight. Take care.
