June ('Shape up') weight loss challenge Results!!

Happy New week Sweets,
Hope you had a great weekend, stress free? Thank God for a new day and the gift of life. Its so sad that people are dying in this manner, daily in Nigeria. We need to give thanks to God for every new day, as far as i am concerned, its a blessing. I pray that God will continue to keep us all safe, in Jesus name. Amen.

Yesterday was the last day for the shape up weight loss challenge, and as expected, the people who participated were supposed to send their closing figures (if you know what i mean) But instead, na excuses from every corner....well, it only means i will be keeping my goodies to myself. I am just happy that a lot of people "really" benefited from the challenge.

I urge you guys to keep going, keep eating right and exercising, no matter how small. Stop giving yourselves excuses to live a life of junk food. I know its hard to quit, but people have done it and they didn't die, it only gets better i promise. It is well.


Well as for me, i set out to lose 2 kg this month but, I lost 1.6 kg. I am very happy with myself still. I knew it would be a bit tough, but i was able to push myself to the limit and it paid off. I started this month at 77.3 kg and closed yesterday at 75.7 kg. Again, i'm happy because this is the first time i'm entering 75 kg level. Yipeee!! You might think that 1.6 kg in a month is too small, but to me its not because with weight loss, the more you lose, the harder it gets. I don't like blaming anything or anyone for me not reaching my goal, to me its just not necessary, i don't enjoy self-pity. I have taken notes and won't allow myself make the same mistakes again. Lol. Weight loss is serious bizniz o.

By the way, good luck to Nigeria today!!! If we no win, i go burn this shirt, eziokwu!! #nadashdemdashme #teamnatural 

Ehen, and i was able to complete 300 push-ups by Saturday. My arms are still hurting. I also walk/jogged for 5 miles and did 50 mins of "Billy blanks Bootcamp" workout DVD. It's still one of my top 5 best workouts ever!!  I can see and feel the difference in my upper body and legs. (See my pic above) Hehehe!

  1. Good afternoon Cheliz, I actually participated in the challenge but didn't take a picture of my starting weight because I wasn't sure of losing any KG. I started with 108kg (remember on the 1st day of this challenge a lady commented that she was 108kg, so I responded "my fellow 108kg please lets encourage ourselves in this challenge) As the days went by, I began to get some encouragement and motivation by visiting this blog regularly, I am happy to tell the house that as at yesterday morning my weight now is 103.5. I took the picture of that because it was a huge achievement for me oo.. I am not stopping here. Thanks Cheliz, you are the best. MissB

  2. Mz. Cheliz,
    So sorry. Once again I was working with my time instead of naija time, and telling myself I had till 9pm to send in pics. I almost didn't send in my pics, because I was disappointed with my numbers. But after reading this post I was encouraged again. So thanks a bunch. I lost almost 7 pounds, which is a great achievement considering every time I get the courage to check my weight I'm always gaining. However this time I lost some weight. So I'm encouraged to stay on track.Even though the number seemed small and I have a long way to go, I lost a lot of inches, because all my tight clothes are now loose. I give God the Glory. I cut back on my carbs, and I could see a significant difference in my belly, and I no longer have that bloated feeling. I've curbed my cravings for sweets, and now crave water. My bad habits are skipping breakfast and portion control, but since am a work in progress, I'm working on it. Thank you so much for the challenge and encouraging posts. God bless you.     1. Big Congrats to you Pat. I am so happy for you. You did really well. Over 3kg in a month is very very good. What we want is for you to have a steady and consistent weight loss till you reach your desired weight. Congrats again sweet and God bless you.

  3. Thanks. I have a long way to go, but like you said if I'm consistent, I'll get there. So I need you to keep encouraging me:) I want to continue with "Shape Up # July," so I'll be contacting you for a meal plan. If I lose more with the meal plan, then you'll get a prize:).

  5. ;k.. august is fine by me... i'm good being busy here and all bur still trying to eat clean and work hard meanwhile people are complementing my loos now oo... even tho i still feel like a ''bo-full'

  6. Okay Cheliz, looking forward to August Challenge. Meanwhile, I feel people should feel free to share their experiences it's not all about final result. We are here to motivate and learn from one another. I know a lot of people participated in June challenge all of a sudden they have been quite. @Fina, thanks for sharing. MissB

Please, my ish is with my waist i want to get a slimmer waist, presently i measure; burst-341/2'', waist-28'' anh hip-35'' and attimes due to weight loss 341/2''. Please how can you help out? I want to get well shaped hour glass figure/shape. Thanks Harbygirl

    1. Hi Hairbaby, from ur stats u dont seem to be bulky in that area but like I always say, its all in the mind. It all depends on what you want. Again, we are build differently, some ladies I have seen lose weight and still dont have the hour glass shape. Its something that is given at birth. But u can sculpt ur body to an extent by doing specific exercises targeting specific areas of your body or you might chose to use corsets to synch the area to look better in a dress. One cant isolate a particular area of the body for it to lose weight alone. All the best dear.
