# challenge # Exercise

Day 1 of the 'Shape-up' weight loss challenge.

Hey sweets,
Sorry for the late post guys, i had to dash out early this morning.
Its game on for the 'shape up' weight loss challenge. I have received loads of emails from ladies that want to join in the weight loss challenge (although some didn't send a snap shot of their weight on a scale, some are yet to send when yesterday was the deadline. Lol!). I am so happy and pumped that people are ready to make a change in their lives. Kudos Ladies!! I won't give a meal plans but i will give food and exercise ideas from time to time, without too much expo.  I am moved to increase the price on this challenge. I will keep it a surprise till the very end!!! Best of Luck Ladies!!

Tips for today:

  1. I think you guys should make this week a detox week. First cleanse your system and get ready for the weeks to come. This will guarantee maximum results. So go stock up on fruits and veggies.
  2. Don't go checking your weight through this month. Why? because if you do, and lets say you have lost some good amount of weight, you could be tempted to binge and this could cost you some kgs. hehehe! Dont say i didn't warn you.
  3. Here is an idea of of fruits and veggies to stock up on:
  • Green tea (a must have)
  • Watermelon
  • Lemons
  • Pine apples
  • grapes
  • Oranges
  • Avocado
  • Cucumber
  • Carrots
  • Lettuce
  • Cabbage
  • Peas
  • Tomatoes
  • Strawberries
  • Blueberries
  • pumpkin leaves (ugwu)
  • Scent leaves
  • Spices
  • Cinnamon (this is a spice, a wonderful one)
  • Honey

4. Exercises you can try today in this order:
  • 100 squats
  • High knee raises for  30secs
  • Butt kicks for 30 secs
  • 30 sec plank
  • 30 jumping jacks.
  • 100 squats again
  • 30 sec plank

Please check youtube for how to do the squats and here for the planks. Please be very careful with the squats, looks easy but can be very dangerous for the knees. Eat as much fruits and veggies as you can, add a bit of proteins from time to time so you don't feel too weak. DO NOT STARVE!! Leave bread and coke alone!! Stay strong ok. All the best and God bless.
Cheliz.

    1. Hi dear, when u buy them, make sure they rnt wet or spread them to dry off then put them in a small freezer bag or polyethylene bag and store in the veggies tray section of the fridge. They will stay green for about 3 days. Take care.

  11. i'm using 3 days of juicing as my detox- mostly green vegetables juice and some fruits. I'm hungry menhhh. I ate banana, yesterday before I read the blog, and also a handful of peanuts and almonds. Please tell me I can still eat banana this week.

  12. My dear dont starve urself. Go get an apple or an orange. They are very good as well. As for banana, I would say hold on that. Supplement with other fruits. Anytime ur hungry make sure to have a fruit and a glass of water. The hunger will dissappear. All the best.
