# cleansing

Importance of Cleansing the System.

Hi Sweeties,
This topic is quite wide, but i will make it as cute as possible.
Anyone that been into wellness and weight loss will tell you that cleansing plays a major part in their life style. Its hard to actually lose weight without ever cleansing. It is very important and very necessary. I personally don't joke with it. I cleanse majorly, once a week. I have tried different methods, but that is what works for me. I wont be able to give you the name of the products i use, because this kind of info can be sensitive. (i no send anybody message o) Anyways,  read on, i am sure you will find what works for you.

Reasons why cleansing is important:
  1. To rid the body of toxins and impurities. Did you know that the blood often contains fat that hinders weight loss?
  2. To rid the body of excess waste materials. Allowing regular bowel movement.
  3. Enhances weight loss.
  4. Ensure a clean body and a healthy mind.
There are different ways which you could cleanse with, depending on your pocket, time, dedication and determination. Some people do it almost everyday, some monthly, some weekly. It all depends on the kind of cleansing you are doing.

Methods of cleansing:
  1. Herbs: This is a very natural and fabulous way of cleansing. Its my fav. Its all about knowing the herbs that work for you. Example of good cleansing herbs are: Fennel, Basil (scent leaves), Mint, Oolong. Guarantees a bit of weigh loss and regular bowel movement.
  2. Teas: This comes in millions and millions of varieties. Like i said earlier, you need to try before you conclude on the one that works for you. I have a very close friend that has a "strong" tummy according to her, nothing she has tried has ever worked. We are still working on it though.
  3. Water: I added water here because i feel water is key. Water alone can alter the acidity level in the stomach. When mixed with lemon juice daily is a mild and good form of cleansing.
  4. Juicing: This one is not child's play because it entails a lot. Its capital intensive, You have to be strong for this, it takes a lot of time to prep. But you know what? it works wonders. You will see results almost immediately.  It basically about using fruits to clean out the body, from a minimum of 1 week to about 30 days. You will lose weight with this but, sustenance is not guaranteed. Once you stop and don't have a continuous plan, hehehe....
Fennel seeds

I don't advise cleansing as the only means of weight loss because it doesn't work that way, that is why most people cry out after the weight loss tea they bought "didn't work." It didn't work because you didn't use it the right way.

I always recommend that cleansing with teas or herbs should be done once a week, at the end of the week, Like on a Friday night. Take it last thing at night, after visiting the loo in the morning, go ahead and check your weight. Even without checking your weight, you will feel a lot lighter. This is where multivitamin comes in again....i will continue to sing this song.

  3. Strong Immune system.
  4. Regular bowel movement
  5. Cleanses the blood so that weight loss can be maximized.
  6. Improves memory.
  7. Generally makes one feel better and healthier.

  1. I read somewhere on the net that cleansing while breastfeeding is bad cus ur baby ends up taking toxins excreted in breastmilk. What's your opinion on this

    1. Hi Ezinne. I dont think its right to cleanse while one is still nursing. Due to many reasons. But after nursing is definitely fine to release excess water weight. Thanks dear.

  3. I cleanse weekly, usually 2-3 days. I use natural fruits and veggies, no dates, no dried prunes, banana, corn, avocado pear, no oil, fish or meat. Keep up the good work darlyn Cheliz

    1. Dont be sad sweety, you will get your body back. First focus on nourishing your baby. Drink lots of water and other fluids. Then reduce carbs amd increase fruits and veggies. Exercise. The weight will come off gradually. Its just fat, it will melt depending on how bad you want it to. Its all in your hands. Take care and be strong. Kisses to baby.
